Nationals`

WOOOW!! I just had to stick on more post on...we're going to Nationals early September in Tulsa Oklahoma!!! So totally excited!

We just bought a new mini trailer that has a tall dressing room and then the back part of the trailer is low. Bought it from BNR Quarter Horses in Texas (they're cutters/reiners) and so we'll go there and pick it up, and then go to Tulsa and stay at AMHR (mini) Nationals for a couple days, and pick up two new mares, Rhythm and Dancer, then (maybe maybe) go visit some friends in Ringwook OK and head home. I think Linda, who owns one of the minis, will go with.

So hope it all works out as planned!!!

Reining/Working Cow Horse

OK Hope...you should get out of your barrels and into reining!!! ☺ Hopeless task on my part. This is Brad Barkemyer, Al Dunning's big trainer who has been winning everywhere on Smartee, on Lacy, Tim's reining mare. This is one of the videos he used to sell her.

Roller

This video was taken the Thursday before his death, and we were all just shocked again at how that horse could move! He was well loved and is VERY missed!!! That is one of the amazingest, goofiest stallions ever, and I still just expect to see him pacing his stall in the barn and it seems so empty down there. He got put down because of colic that started Sunday night around 11 and he stayed overnight at Chapparral Veterinary Medical Center, but the vets had him sedated, and still couldn't control his pain. He was shaking and having seizures from it. His owner, Wendy, bred him and has shown him all his life, and I can't imagine how hard it's been on her, cuz its been really really tough on us! She has been absolutely understanding and great about everything!!

new horses

We picked up two new mares on Friday from Prescott and its so amazing up there!!! The lady we got them from has a absolutely stunning Fresian. The 2 mares we got are going to be followed up by two more over Nationals, and I think a big trainer by the name of Austin is bringing them back for us! The two right now can move like crazy but the one is ridiculously FAT!! We tested her and Dream, aka the Hippo ☺ for thyroid problems but haven't gotten the results back yet. All told, their names are Rhythm, Dancer, Treasure, and Candy and we don't have the first two yet... pics to come ...we're dashing to Sonic right now with Skye ☺

Cameo's baby

Cameo, my little black mare, aborted her baby last night...reason yet unknown unless it was just that she was a maiden mare and more likely to abort during her first pregnancy....hopefully nothing is wrong with her!!!!
60 days....you could see the tiny little hooves and tail bone and everything. The only thing that didn't look right was the super dark, blood red head and neck and they were overly large for the rest of its body. The bones hadn't developed so you could pull the legs out and they would just pop back into place crumpled up against its body. We THINK it was a girl, but idk......Now we have to start all over again :( The only mares we KNOW are pregnant are Missy and Angel and Justine is probably.....
